Llamamiento para una semana de solidaridad con lxs anarquistas en México enfrentando represión (Marzo 17-24, 2014)

Este es un llamamiento para una semana de solidaridad con lxs anarquistas en México, quienes enfrentan la represión, ya sea que estén tras las rejas de las prisiones o en la clandestinidad luchando por su libertad.

El estado mexicano ha apuntado su atención hacia el floreciente espacio anarquista que ha estado activamente atacando al aparato de defensa estatal, es decir los cimientos sobre los cuales se sostiene. Hoy es el mejor momento para inspirarnos en dicho espacio anarquista en México y mostrarles algo de amor a nuestros camaradas encarceladxs.

La historia de México es muy rica y no puede ser resumida en un texto como este. Lo que si puede ser mencionado son los esfuerzos que se han realizado para hacer vivir el conflicto contra el estado. Este llamamiento viene en un momento en el cual el espacio anarquista en México ha estado activamente contribuyendo a la lucha contra el poder y la dominación. Ataques contra la policía y sus vehículos, bancos, oficinas gubernamentales y demás símbolos del poder han llevado al estado mexicano a desatar una cacería para perseguir a quienes efectivamente han amenazado los cimientos de la paz social.

Han habido diversas y recientes circunstancias que han apuntado la represión contra anarquistas en México: el arresto de Mario Tripa en 2012 y su reciente re-arresto en Enero 2014, el actual encarcelamiento de Mario Gonzalez, el secuestro y encarcelamiento de compas anarquistas, la deportación de Alfredo Bonnano a quien se le prohibió entrar al país y el interrogatorio y deportación de Gustavo Rodriguez.

Ha habido una fuerte respuesta a la represión contra el espacio anarquista en México, quienes han celebrado y mostrado coraje de compañerxs quienes han sostenido los ataques en activa solidaridad. Entre marzo 17-24, estamos haciendo un llamamiento a compartir la fuerza y solidaridad con lxs compas en México enfrentando la represión. Hoy en un momento en el cual los ojos del estado y sus perros han apuntado hacia nuestrxs compañerxs, estamos urgiendo a que nuestra respuesta sea precisa.

«Sin embargo, aun con la inminente situación de control estatal, hay quienes no tienen miedo, aquellxs que de día o de noche, solxs o en colectivo, con fuego, explosivos, bloqueos, explosivos o armas muestran que esta no es la vida que queremos, que – por lo menos desde nuestra perspectiva- el sistema debe de ser totalmente destruido. Su maldita paz social es un mito que intentan imponer sobre nosotrxs. Solamente el conflicto existe… Es claro que tenemos que retomar el control de nuestras vidas y nuestros espacios: ser capaces de lograrlo por medio de la guerra social…» Mario Lopez Tripa

Call for an international week of solidarity with anarchists in Mexico facing repression (March 17-24, 2014)

This is a call for international solidarity with anarchists in Mexico facing repression, whether they are stuck behind the iron bars of prison cells or hiding out for their freedom.

The state of Mexico has turned its attention to the blossoming anarchist space that has been actively attacking the state’s defense apparatus, the very foundation upon which it stands. Now is the best time to draw inspiration from the anarchist space in Mexico, and to show some love to our imprisoned comrades. The history of Mexico is very rich, and cannot be summed up in a text such as this. What can be mentioned, however, are the efforts that have been made to live in conflict with the state. This call comes at a time when the anarchist space in Mexico has been actively contributing to a struggle against power and domination. Attacks on police vehicles, banks, government buildings, and other symbols of power have led the Mexican state on a hunt to persecute those who have effectively threatened their foundation of social peace.

There have been several recent instances of targeted repression of anarchists in Mexico: the arrest of Mario Tripa in 2012 and his recent re-arrest in January 2014, the ongoing detention of Mario Gonzalez, the kidnapping and incarceration of several anarchist comrades, the barring of Alfredo Bonanno from entering the country, and the torture, interrogation, and deportation of Gustavo Rodriguez. There has been a strong response to this repression by anarchists in Mexico, who have celebrated the courage of their companerxs through sustained attacks in active solidarity. Between March 17-24th, we are calling for international strength and solidarity to be shown with anarchists in Mexico facing repression. Now, at a time when the eyes of the state and their dogs have turned towards our comrades, we are urging the act to be returned in kind.
